Here are the top 5 stocks in the Publishing industry ranked by performance. We compiled the trading activity from yesterday and then analyzed the industry looking for stocks that were outperforming. This is what we found:

McGraw-Hill (NYSE:MHP) ranks first with a gain of 2.58%; Pearson (NYSE:PSO) ranks second with a gain of 1.74%; and Journal Communications (NYSE:JRN) ranks third with a gain of 1.12%.

Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI) follows with a gain of 0.94% and Valassis Communications (NYSE:VCI) rounds out the top five with a gain of 0.28%.
