Top 3 Companies in the Semiconductors Industry With the Highest Revenue Per Employee (ENTR, CRUS, MLNX)

Below are the three companies in the Semiconductors industry with the highest Revenue Per Employee (RPE). Analysts use RPE as a measure to compare the productivity of companies in the same industry.

Entropic Communications (NASDAQ:ENTR) is highest with an RPE of $2.0 million. Entropic Communications, Inc. designs, develops and outsources the manufacture of, semiconductors. The Company markets semiconductors that enable the home networking of digital entertainment over existing coaxial cable. Thus far today, Entropic Communications has traded 121,000 shares, vs. average volume of 773,000 shares per day. The stock has underperformed the Dow (-1.3% to the Dow's -0.3%) and underperformed the S&P 500 (-1.3% to the S&P's -0.1%) during today's trading.

Following is Cirrus Logic (NASDAQ:CRUS) with an RPE of $1.3 million.

Finishing up the top three is Mellanox Technologies (NASDAQ:MLNX), with an RPE of $1.1 million.
