Top 5 Performing Stocks in the Dow (DD, BAC, TRV, CSCO, CAT)

Below are the top five performing stocks in the Dow Jones Industrials Index. These companies should be watched for additional outperformance to the upside.

EI Du Pont de Nemours (NYSE:DD) lead the charge up 4.04% today, well above the Dow's return of 0.93% thus far. Just behind are shares of Bank of America (NYSE:BAC), which is up 3.37%.

Rounding out the list of outperformers are shares of Travelers (NYSE:TRV) and Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO), which are up 2.12% and 1.94%, respectively. Finally we have Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) up a respectable 1.80% on the day.

E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company is a global chemical and life sciences company, with businesses that include agriculture and industrial biotechnology, chemistry, biology, materials science and manufacturing. The Company operates globally and offers a wide range of products and services for markets including agriculture and food, building and construction, electronics and communications.

Potential upside of 0.3% exists for EI Du Pont de Nemours, based on a current level of $52.01 and analysts' average consensus price target of $52.18. The stock should find initial support at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $48.67 and further support at its 200-day MA of $47.76.
