Top 5 Performing Stocks in the Dow (HPQ, AXP, UTX, CSCO, BAC)

Below are the top five performing stocks in the Dow Jones Industrials Index. These companies should be watched for additional outperformance to the upside.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) lead the charge up 2.33% today, well above the Dow's return of 0.99% thus far. Just behind are shares of American Express (NYSE:AXP), which is up 2.17%.

Rounding out the list of outperformers are shares of United Technologies (NYSE:UTX) and Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO), which are up 2.14% and 2.12%, respectively. Finally we have Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) up a respectable 2.02% on the day.

Hewlett-Packard Company provides imaging and printing systems, computing systems, and information technology services for business and home. The Company's products include laser and inkjet printers, scanners, copiers and faxes, personal computers, workstations, storage solutions, and other computing and printing systems. Hewlett-Packard sells its products worldwide.

Based on a current price of $20.54, Hewlett-Packard is currently 24.8% above its average consensus analyst price target of $15.44. The stock should find initial support at its 200-day moving average (MA) of $17.24 and further support at its 50-day MA of $16.60.
