Shares of Hewlett-Packard Receive a Boost, Up 1.9%

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) is a company whose shares are active, trading 1.9% higher to $20.36. The S&P is currently trading 0.8% higher to 1,595 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading 0.7% higher to 14,814.

Based on a current price of $20.36, Hewlett-Packard is currently 14.9% above its average consensus analyst price target of $17.32. The stock should find resistance at its 50-day moving average (MA) of $20.85, as well as support at its 200-day MA of $17.31.

In the past 52 weeks, Hewlett-Packard share prices have been bracketed by a low of $11.35 and a high of $25.40 and are now at $20.36, 79% above that low price. Over the last five market days, the 200-day moving average (MA) has remained constant while the 50-day MA has advanced 1.4%.
